On top of getting ready to set out on his “Pay Attention Tour” as well as getting ready to release his new album Cadillactica, he shook the game earlier this week by dropping a new mixtape See Me On Top 4 almost without warning. While the tape was solid as a whole there’s no denying that this star studded track stands out, and the originality of this drinker’s anthem is what made me feel like I needed to single it out. This subtle southern banger with Juicy’s infamous “Yeah Ho!” ad lib firing off in the background this track is perfect for any sippin’ occasion. The verses from Krizzle and Co. are absolutely deadly, and there are no survivors when these four get done with this song. Hit that play button, check out more free material from K.R.I.T. on soundcloud, and “Welcome to the Drinker’s Club”.

After hitting 500k followers on twitter a couple days ago Big K.R.I.T decided to let go of a self produced cut that gets it’s fuel from the artist’s irritation with the radio and mainstream music. Let me start by saying, if you ever listen to the radio I am so sorry. It’s terrible and in an industry so full of garbage and repetition songs like this needs to be heard. The song comes strapped with the ever popular “Yeah Hoe!” ad-lib and a heavenly, ¬†triumphant instrumental thundering as K.R.I.T absolutely tears it apart. Oh, and not to mention the catchy maybe even controversial chorus. Hit that play button one time and if your feelin’ this make sure to watch out for the release date of his new album Cadilactica.

The Stage EP (Mixtape) – Curren$y & Smoke DZA

Spitta and the KushedGod Smoke DZA team up yet again for this short four track EP which like expected is some classy ass smoking music. The very first thing I noticed about this tape is that it was produced entirely by Harry Fraud and that’s two thumbs up right there. I’ve always really liked these two artists together because they both kill these piano heavy, casual/cool instrumentals and it sounds more like poetry then the other hip-hop we blindly consume. This collaborative work is by no means turnt up, but they are perfect tunes to hot box the whip or recover from a hangover to. “First Light” was probably my favorite track, but “10 Bricks” which has a French Montana and Big KRIT feature goes off too. Hit that play button, and spark your lighters.

Here’s the title track off of Ecko’s upcoming tape ‘Underground Airplay’. KRIT goes in, Joey brings the NYC fire that has come to be expected in his music, and DZA didn’t really spit anything special. Check it out, features some big artists, but I”m not sure if this sets a very high standard for the rest of the tape.
