Producers who remix my favorite guilty pleasure throwbacks are okay in my book. And since Collin McLoughlin’s voice is so mesmerizing, it makes sense that he chose to cover the vocals on his latest remix of Dido’s White Flag. The energy fluctuates between chill ambient to through the roof DnB explosions. Who would have thought Dido and drum n bass go so well together? Collin is always surprising his fans with unique remixes. You know you see a true artist when they’re up for experimentation and challenging themselves by exploring music outside of their comfort zone. Cop the download if you know what’s good for ya.

Who would have thought to remix the slowed-down indie track Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie? Well Collin McLoughlin did, and he pretty much achieved ethereal electronic perfection. He holds onto the original slowed-down feel of the track while implementing some more dubstep-sounding pickups and verses. Collin actually used his own vocals for the remix too. His voice sounds so effortless and natural. This remix is already blowing up in popularity, but Collin has graciously offered this beauty for free, so make sure to add this one to your collection. Show this talented singer and producer some support on Facebook and Twitter while you’re at it.

Coldplay is one of the most widely known, successful, and all around great bands to ever come together. That being said, I’m a fan, and Collin McLoughlin remixing ‘Fix You’ is just what this 2005 hit needed. Don’t let the heavy synth, sampling, and drum kick throw you off; Collin manages to maintain the emotion of the original track while still incorporating his up-beat style. Give it a listen and cop the track for free by showing him some love on facebook.

Collin McLoughlin is the new triple threat of EDM music. He’s an extremely talented singer, songwriter, and (as you can tell from this track) producer. The ambient vocals and fast paced drum beat will have you turning up no matter where you are. Throw this one in your summer playlist and stay tuned for Colin’s ‘Tears of Tempo’ EP as he releases free new tracks every Tuesday til the drop.
Here’s a present for you; Collin McLoughlin’s cover of John Mayer. Its hard to find a good John Mayer cover, mostly because his original songs are too good to touch, and his vocals are crafted to his unmatched guitar playing. But Collin does a pretty good job, slows it down a bit, and definitely brings his A game for the ladies. Check it out.
