I swear with every new release from Drew Love I’m more blown away than the last. After the release of the phenomenal track Forsaken I wasn’t really sure what to expect next from Love, but he decides to bring this one back home for a ride around the city. Production is handled by Luiggi Flavio who gives us a pretty basic Drew Love style instrumental, not to complex yet provides a smooth basic melody for Love to harmonize with. He also takes it down a notch fusing his heavenly singing with a more mainstream hip-hop sound for a super smooth final product. If you haven’t become acquainted with Drew Love yet, there’s no better time than now and there’s no better track than this.

I sincerely hope ya’ll enjoy a little Drew Love as much as I do, and if you weren’t totally feeling his last track “Sexcapades” then prepare to be blown away. The track produced by Rocky Xavier is right up Love’s ally with it’s slow rhythm and ambient nature, and of course his vocals are on point. With that being said the direction he decides to take this song is shocking next to his previous release. Love chooses to deliver a tragic and relevant message about those whom are forsaken that will leave you speechless. Hit that play button one time and see if I’m kidding.

Sexcapades (Music Video) – Drew Love

For an R&B artist without a major debut project Washington D.C.’s Drew Love has been making quite a name for himself, and after hearing my first Love single I can’t say I’m surprised. Not much to say about the instrumental besides that it was produced by Royal, there’s just not really any instrumental breakdowns or any other note worthy craziness. Don’t let that discourage you though as the simplicity of the song puts all the spotlight on Drew, and with a voice like his how could he disappoint? I mean it’s practically guaranteed to drop panties. The music video is shot in black and white for the most part and is very elegant, although some of you might find it a tad to repetitive. Overall it’s seductive, it’s sensual, it’s provocative, it’s Drew Love. Make sure you watch out for his debut EP dropping sometime in the spring of 2014. Enjoy.

I’m On That – Nikko Lafre & Drew Love

Download I'm On That - Nikko Lafre & Drew Love

Some of ya’ll might recognize this collab from the “Situations” track we posted a little over a month ago, and I’m beginning to think this tag team is incapable of disappointing. This is a leak off Nikko’s newest project entitled “Survival: Face the World” which does not have a confirmed release date yet. Unlike the last track which focused on the pain and suffering experienced in the past, this track is all about what kinda shit Nikko and Drew are on now. Although you might expect a track entitled “I’m On That” to be a banger, it’s actually very melodic and ambient. With Nikko keeping it street on the verses, and Drew Love’s heavenly voice on the chorus this joint doesn’t leave much to be desired. You don’t need me to tell you that though, hit that play button and hear it for yourself and make sure to stay posted for more information on Nikko’s upcoming project.

Situations – Nikko Lafre & Drew Love

A dose of realness for ya’ll today from a new artist to the site, Nikko Lafre. This is by no means a feel good song, and actually focuses more on the loss and the pain Nikko experienced growing up in the game then anything. Some of ya’ll might not be able to relate directly to the verses in this joint but I figured we’ve probably all seen a friend turn foe to be where we’re at today so really listen to what Nikko has to say. Other then the verses the production work is solid, and Drew Love sounds almost angelic singing on the hook. Anyways if you’ve had dirt thrown on your name, or been dragged through the shit in general I recommend hitting that play button one time.
