Harry Edwards is from a small historic city in England by the name of “Aylsham”, where the cool, gray, hazy weather sets a somber vibe for this young artist in a small market-town just north or Norwich. Everything he records is in a small bedroom with nothing more than a couple mics, keyboard, electronic drum set, and a bass guitar. From the second I hit play I knew I was going to be a fan of Harry, a light tide striking the beach in the background, his melodic humming in tune with the soft piano chords, and his hauntingly beautiful voice piercing through the misty production. As Harry sings prolific lyrics through a wave of heavy distorted strings I can sense the strung-out emotion that goes into this one, calling out to a distant lover that might not even hear his voice. Simple yet stunning production, and although I’m a little late on this track hopefully I’ll be able to share more of his material with y’all in the future. Be sure to check out his bandcamp for his latest project, his soundcloud for more freebies, and like him on facebook to show some love.
