While fans wait anxiously for Skizzy’s debut album ‘The Red Balloon Project’ (which goes up for pre-sale on iTunes tomorrow), Michael Keenan and Skizzy decided to drop a freebee to show just how dynamic their indie-rap sound has become, enlisting Rockie Fresh for a formfitting feature. Quality Time is the kind of track that’ll get a room full of hipster girls to start swaying; uplifting synth, a mellow arpeggiating bass-pad, and a snap/clap based drum beat come together to create this fully developed indie style, which bears a vague resemblance to Ratatat’s earlier work. That being said, noone has mastered this production technique the way Michael has. He and Skizzy seemingly created an entirely new genre in 2014, emphasizing the connection between stoners and hipsters to find some beautiful middle-ground. The verses are lavish, as per usual; Skizzy flows about expensive brands you’ve never heard of, smoking blunts, and seducing sexy young girls. MMG’s Rockie Fresh sounded surprisingly comfortable on this beat with Skizzy. We haven’t heard many rappers attempt to spit over Michael’s unorthodox production, so I was skeptical when Rockie’s verse echoed in, but his pace and lyricism falls right in place with the direction of the track, and the only aspect I could find to complain about is how brief his verse was. Regardless, this track is fire, and hopefully indicates some more dope features on the Red Balloon Project dropping sometime next month. For now, keep up with Skizzy, Michael, and Rockie via twitter and keep your fingers crossed for more free previews.

Rockie Fresh hasn’t dropped any new material in awhile, he was touring with G-Eazy for a hot minute, grinding on his MMG business and plotting his next big move. Well, this might not be that big move, but it IS a fresh new Rockie Fresh track produced by the notorious Hit-Boy. Pretty simple beat, trumpets and hard hitting bass set the “official” vibe for Fresh to spit about how ridiculous his life is. Cop the free download and bump this whenever you feel like you’re running the game.

MMG remixing one of the best G tracks from 2013? No, you’re not dreaming, Rockie Fresh, Tory Lanez, and G-Eazy all drop fresh out the oven verses for a remix that’ll be in everyone’s speakers before too long. After announcing that Rockie Fresh would be opening for his ‘These Things Happen’ Tour, G released this freebie he re-recorded with his new tour additions. You might be wondering how an MMG signed rapper is OPENING for unsigned G-Eazy, but hearing the two side by side on the same beat it’s no question that G outshines one of the hottest names in the game right now. Stay tuned for tour dates, tickets, and UH appearances. For now, just enjoy the new music.

Vic delivers some very thought-provoking bars in this new track featuring MMG’s Rockie Fresh and Beldina. After publishing “All Me” by Drake right before this, Vic brought some refreshing lyricism to my speakers. I really hope these guys make it, just because the world deserves to hear some rappers who aren’t full of themselves yet, that have something meaningful to spit into the mic. Grab this track, and value the life lessons from Vic and Rockie as they preach over this ambient instrumental.
“Everything happens for a reason, if you choose to look at it that way and put truth into the things that you do and really believe what you say. They say that the darkest night comes before the brightest morning, I like to think I’d ask the right things if God was right before me. Like, ‘Why you let babies get shot, while babies is killing? All because the system that raised me from gradeschool made me the villain.'”

Rockie and Wiz remixed this track off his Birthday Tape, and with some more explicit lyricism they turned it into an MMG TGOD masterpiece. If you like laying back and lighting one up, you should lay back and light one up to this track.
Rockie Fresh is one of the hardest working individuals in the game right now, and in this track he gives all the credit to the big man upstairs. Through all the trials and tribulations of rising to fame Rockie Fresh hasn’t lost sight of himself and the lyrics in this song show that to his fans. Every track Rockie puts out is better than the last, and he’s only getting better. God may have had something to do with Rockie Fresh’s success, but there’s no denying that this MC has skill.

It’s the MMG Freshman’s birthday today, and Rockie Fresh released this tape for us to vibe to. A handful of features from Rick Ross, Lunice, and Gunplay mixed with probably my favorite track on the tape ‘Outro’ which samples one of my favorite tracks ‘Bloodstream’ by Stateless. Anywho, check it out, and enjoy the fresh tracks from one of the most promising rappers in the game right now.
New track off of Rockie Fresh’s debut mixtape ‘Electric Highway’. Kind of a new vibe from a MMG sponsored rapper, and I’m not really sure whether or not the heavy synth beat works with his flows or not, but it sure sounds good. See if you’re feeling it, this might be the new direction for Maybach’s rising star. We’ll see how this tape is when it drops next month though. Enjoy.
