I have heard nothing but good feedback about The Neighbourhood’s newest release ‘Silver’, despite them going out of their comfort zone and experimenting with some haunting melodies. The progressive track seems to consume you as the blaring synth fades into an array of different sounds that somehow play seamlessly off each other. Not only did the group nail this industrial style, but they somehow managed to record it while on tour. You can expect to see this track on their new project ‘#000000 & #FFFFFF’, which (for those of you who don’t run a music blog) is the RGB (color) code for Black & White (UniversityHype Blue is #00F0FF (; ). Enjoy the new track and be sure to check out their last project.
“#000000 & #FFFFFF is a diary of songs that are inspired by our thoughts while on the road. It exposes our anxiety, rejoices in our achievement and expresses our ability to create whatever the fuck we want. It’s our freedom to explore popular music as we know it. It’s not us as a band… it’s us as a sound.”
