This is the new “rebranded” Tyga sound, and it’s not anything like the kind of music he was dropping this time last year. That being said, it’s hard to complain about 15 free tracks from one of Hollywood’s most notoriously-paid rappers. The production varies from track to track, but for the most part you can expect heavy hitting trap instrumentals, with the exception of the seemingly out of place R&B/Pop track “$upaWifey”. Not every track is a gem, but I recommend Glitta, Master $uite, and Don’t C Me Comin ft. A.E.. Enjoy, and show Tyga some love on twitter and soundcloud.

Make It Work – Tyga

Tyga’s been putting in work relentlessly since he first stepped into the lime light via Cash Money Records in 2011; 3 albums, 2 mixtapes, and even an award winning porno that he co-produced. As he gears up to drop his 4th studio album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, T-Raw is known for flaunting his wealth on instagram, which is why the track art might look familiar, but the highlight of this track is definitely his lyrical aptitude. He connects his bars with precision, rapping about everything from his plethora of diamond-studded jewelry to his unrivaled collection of super cars. The beat is centered around a simple piano riff and a steady drum loop, nothing too special, which keeps the focus on Tyga’s vocals. Some say he and Drake have been subtly taking jabs at eachother, a feud which started with Tyga saying he “Didn’t like Drake as a person” in an interview, which was returned with Drake liking photos of Tyga’s baby mom Blacc Chyna and openly inviting her to Toronto in one of his songs… so maybe not so subtle. Anyways, both artists are making big moves this year, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea to keep tabs on both of them. Cop the song if you like what you hear, check out his soundcloud to listen to some singles off the upcoming album, and follow him on twitter if you’ve got one.

Fight Night – Migos & Tyga

With Migos you either love or hate what you hear, and today I’m lovin’ it. Although the original track features the rest of his Atlanta crew, bringing on the West Coast’s Tyga was the best move he could’ve made. The hook doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but for some reason it gets stuck in your head really easily. The dirty beat, courtesy of Stack Boy Twan, is based around a twangy bass line, coated in twerk-worthy claps and an extremely light and simple synth. If you’ve ever peeped @kinggoldchains or @migosatl on instagram than you know how breaded this duo is, cop the free download and keep this ready for the next time you flex on some fools in your Gold Lamborghini with your pet tiger riding shotty (Tyga’s instagram reference.. he also has a Rose Gold Audi R8 & Mercedes SLS AMG)

Tyga’s done it again, and released a new free single for his fans to enjoy. Not only that but like his last release “We Won’t Die” he experiments with another different flow than anything we’ve heard from him so far. With a banger of an instrumental and the singing sample in the background King Gold Chains decided to up his voice a couple octaves while pronouncing every word in the traditional fashion (for the most part). Definitely one of my favorite release we’ve seen from him in awhile just because it’s a fresh new look at the artist. It’s good when they can still suprise you after so long. Hit that play button and see what you think of this unconventional Tyga sound.

We Don’t Die – Tyga

Tyga’s back to dropping free hits after lighting up Lil’ Durk in his diss track with The Game. He spits some clever flows over a Dupri produced beat, which is more Tyga’s speed than the Chiraq instrumental. The gist of the track is that he’s been through hell, but at the end of the day his perseverance keeps him sitting comfortably at the top, ending it off with another shot at Durk “Told ya not to play with fire”. Either way, free track with a hypnotizing chorus from one of the hottest names in Rap right now, what can you really complain about?

When I heard this drop was coming I expected a mixtape full of ‘Hotel California’ leftovers, and although half these tracks are exactly what I expected, there’s also a few bangers for your after-finals-raging playlist. You might be somewhat disappointed with the production throughout the tape, from recycled beats to shitty simple beats like the one in ‘Good Day’ featuring Meek Mill and our favorite fallen-off rapper Lil Wayne. If there’s one fixed variable in this tape it’s Tyga’s talent, each track, good or not, showcases the versatility and success of YMCMB’s hottest artist right now. Cop the tape and grab the new ish before your friends do.

It’s been a year since Big Sean’s last album ‘Finally Famous’, and over 2 years since his last Mixtape… that said, it’s nice to have a fresh batch of songs from the Kanye-sponsored rapper. Hopefully the tape doesn’t disappoint you, it was a little rough in my point of view, but expectations are high now that he’s with G.O.O.D. music.. I was hoping for some more anthems like ‘My Last’ and ‘Ass’ but he went with a different route, featuring small time artists like King Chip, Kendrick Lamar, & French Montana, which made this more of a heavy-rap heavy-beat ridden album. Check it out though, you’re bound to find some tracks you’ll like. I recommend Woke Up, Higher, and Mula. Be easy everyone.
